re: Guild Ranks

Officer Rank

In charge of various administrative tasks for the guild. Some are in charge of recording DKP and doing the loot during the raid, others are in charge of processing applications and keeping track of the polls. Some are in charge of creating the raid list and posting it every week. They also double as class leaders and role leaders in raids.

Requirements

In order to be considered to be an officer there has to be some kind of role or task that needs to be fufilled. You also need to have been in the guild for an extended period of time. We don't promote people to the role of officer just because they have awesome DPS or they are really skilled with their class, we promote people who share the same passion that the rest of us have for the guild and who is willing and capable of taking on additional tasks so the guild can run smoothly.

Veteran Rank

Veteran rank is made up of long time Whackies who have shown dedication and support for the guild over the years. They have always been there when needed and have always put the guild before themselves. These people are sometimes past officers or just members who have been in the guild for a long while. Veterans have access to all the bank tabs.

Requirements

Really the only requirement to be a veteran is to have been in the guild for a long period of time. The guild leader and officer decide on who to promote to veteran. There is no real time we do it, just whenever we feel we should. We try not to promote many people at once even if there are people deserving.

Raider Rank

Raider rank is what makes up the majority of our raid team that we use for 25 man progression. Raiders dedicate the time and the effort to progress through tough content for the thrill of defeating challenging encounters. Raiders have priority of raid slots and have one loot priority per raid. Raiders also have access to the raider tab in the guild bank where we keep food, pots, and other various things.

Requirements

In order to be considered to be a raider there has to be a raid slot available first and foremost. Additionally you need to have comparable gear and skill to the rest of the raid group. Being able to survive encounters and to require the minimum amount of healing is something every raider needs to strive for. You also should be able to research on the proper specs, gear, rotations, strats for your class and spec. Knowing what you should and should not do for your class is very important. All potential raider applicants will be reviewed by the officers and fellow guild members. We will look at World of Logs reports, talent spec, gem choices, enchants, over all raid awareness, survivability and so forth. If you are currently a member seeking the raider rank then again all the above applies. We will always consider current members before seeking outside applicants. If you do not currently meet the requirements but are actively trying to improve and really want to try then we will certainly take that into consideration. Currently raiders are encourage to raid at least 3 of the 4 days that we raid. Due to RL we understand that some cannot always keep to that schedule and therefore to not strongly enforce it but we obviously encourage all our raiders to raid as much as they can.

Member Rank

Members are part of what makes Whackdonalds the guild it is. Members are comprised of people who do not have the time to raid, do not wish to raid, or do not currently meet the requirements of a raider among other things. They are not required to raid any amount of days and are not expected to perform at the level of our normal raiders. Our members are  very important to the success of our guild as they provide us with extra players who can help us out when we are in need. We try to get all our members active in our raids at some point even if they are not aiming for the raider rank or we currently do not have any slots available. Members have loot priority over applicants and also have equal loot priority with raiders who have used their loot priority for the raid.

Requirements

Really the only requirement to be a member is to be a good person, have a good attitude, want to support the guild, fun to be around, and overall just generally a cool person. We don't have any real requirements as far as it comes to gear or skill as long as you are looking to be a part of our family.

Applicant Rank

Pretty self explanatory, if you are of the applicant rank then that means you just joined the guild and are currently aiming for either member or raid rank. We will evaluate you over the course of 2 weeks and then the guild will vote on your status. applicants have no access to the guild bank and have the lowest loot priority of the ranks.

Requirements

Be an applicant to the guild.
